Run errands for a neighbor that is in need of help. Walking is great exercise. If it is done on a regular basis it can be all you need to stay in great shape. Always walk when you have the choice of walking or taking the car. Simple things like this can add immense exercise to your daily life. It can be very fun too. Walk with a buddy or your husband or wife if you need reinforcement.

Learn any new physical hobby that can help you get in shape. If there is something that you like to do that is physical use that to get in shape and stay fit. Get involved with local baseball or soccer teams in your neighborhood. Many adults enjoy sports at all ages. Most communities have a league or two that you can enjoy. Join a church volleyball group. Just get active and stay active.

Get can goods and place on in each hand and do your muscle and weight training. Remember to start with stretches and end with stretches. The rest is up to you. Above all listen to your body. Slowly add larger can goods as the weeks progress. Better yet, use your child as the weight and let them get in on the good exercise habits. Hold them securely in your hands if they are an infant or toddler and slowly lift them up and make a “peek-a-boo” face as you bring them back down.
